Job Description
Premier Integrative & Cognitive Medical Institute is seeking an EEG / Neurofeedback Technician to support brain mapping (qEEG) and neurofeedback services within our integrative mental health and psychedelic medicine clinic.
Do NOT apply without already having the skills required to perform EEGs independently.
The technician will work with the BrainMaster Discovery 24 system, perform qEEG recordings and neurofeedback sessions, and serve as a professional, patient-facing presence within a therapeutic clinical environment. Experience is REQUIRED using this or a similar system.
Responsibilities
- Perform qEEG brain mapping sessions according to established protocols
- Conduct neurofeedback sessions using the BrainMaster Discovery 24 system
- Prepare patients for EEG/qEEG procedures and clearly explain processes
- Set up, calibrate, and operate EEG equipment while ensuring signal quality and data integrity
- Monitor sessions and maintain patient comfort and safety
- Interact professionally with patients who may be in reflective or post-therapeutic states
- Maintain appropriate role boundaries and defer clinical or emotional material to licensed providers
- Document sessions accurately in the EMR system
- Assist with scheduling flow and coordination as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and supportive clinical environment
- Adapt to evolving workflows in a startup clinic setting
Required Qualifications
- Skills to perform qEEG recordings and knowledge of troubleshooting issues
- PASSION to work in a brain clinic treating dementia & mental health — a MUST
- Hands-on patient experience in a medical clinic or hospital setting with direct patient care
- Comfort and experience working with medical or technical equipment
- Ability to follow protocols precisely and maintain attention to detail
- Emotional maturity and professionalism in a therapeutic environment
- Willingness to learn proprietary systems and be self-directed
- Interest or passion for neuroscience, neurofeedback, or psychedelic medicine
Important Notes
- This role does not involve psychotherapy or facilitation of psychedelic sessions
- You may interact with patients before or after ketamine-assisted or integrative treatments
- Training on proprietary protocols and equipment will be provided
- Required onboarding training date will be mid-January
